The Handy

FunPlayer provides two paths for The Handy:

  1. Wi-Fi over Handy’s REST API. Requires a Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Intiface Central. Requires a Bluetooth connection. If The Handy API servers are having troubles, using Bluetooth via Intiface should not be affected.
  • Handy firmware 3.x or 4.x.
  • Your unique connection key to connect to your Handy.
  • Stable Wi-Fi with internet access.
  1. In FunPlayer, Devices section, click the plus icon.
  2. Set device type to The Handy.
  3. Enter a label (e.g. “Mike’s Handy”) and the device key.
  4. Save.
  5. Click Connect next to the device in the sidebar.

FunPlayer will check if your Handy is reachable and if so, put it into the required HSSP mode for synced video playback.

  • Load a funscript. FunPlayer will upload the action points of the script only (no extra metadata, just the numbers).
  • Start playback. FunPlayer will tell The Handy API to play at X time of the media.
  • Keep an eye on the device badge for any issues, if there are troubles, the badge turns red with the error reason.

At the time of writing this, we are unsure if Intiface supports The Handy firmware 4 or the new Handy 2. It may work. We are unsure at this time.

  1. Put The Handy in Bluetooth mode. If you are on Firmware 4, we believe you need to put The Handy in legacy Bluetooth mode. To do that see below.
  2. Launch Intiface Central, start scanning, and pair the device.
  3. In FunPlayer, ensure Intiface Central is connected.
  4. The device shows up under the server when Intiface reports it. Enable command passthrough to let FunPlayer drive it.

This route inherits Intiface’s latency and battery constraints. Prefer cloud control unless your network cannot reach Handy’s servers.

From OhDoki’s website, they state to connect using Legacy Bluetooth Mode:

1. Hold Button UP
2. While holding UP, long press the Action button
